Primo- the photographer

Primo is an inspiring photographer based in the Dzaleka refugee camp. He captures daily scenes in the camp, from a perspective you would never expect.

Primo's Story

LUANDA BAUMA PRIMO, Congolese by nationality, 32 years old, he lives at Dzaleka refugee camp / Dowa district / Malawi. He fled my country (DRCongo) because of atrocity and violence to Malawi.

He is a true art lover, a passionate photographer and a filmmaker by profession. His goal is to broadcast my art trough photography, and his vision is to open a Multimedia whereby local musicians, comedians, actors and creative people in the camp and surrounding dzaleka will have the space where they will expose their talents for the development of art in dzaleka refugee camp and the surrounding.

Primo is interested in photo-journalism, life style, landscape, Sun set and sun rise. He has started photography in 2007 when he was still in secondary school, as well before starting photography he was once a painter. He has worked with talented photographer and filmmakers in the country and abroad. It’s just a camera and a dream.
